I have always been a shoe girl but this season I found myself drawn to the bag section, both in store and online, eyeing up the selection. Over the summer I reorganised my daily bag essentials into pouches and compartments which has made it really easy for me to switch my bag every day and I have loved mixing and matching my bags to my outfits. While shopping at the weekend I found lots of cute options for fall so I have rounded up some of my favourites this season, all of which are under $250. Happy shopping!

As much as I love summer, autumn means a plethora of jumpers hit the shops. Jumpers are one of my favourite wardrobe items and as someone who is perpetually cold they have a place in my wardrobe all year round. When it comes to this time of year, as the evenings get darker and the temperatures drop, I find myself reaching for a chunky knit or super soft cashmere sweater and I can’t help but be filled with autumnal joy. Unsurprisingly as I have scoured the shops for seasonal goodies, I have been drawn to myriad of jumpers and here are a few of my favourites:

Happy November! I can’t believe that we are fast approaching December, this year is flying by. Despite being halfway through Autumn the weather in San Francisco still has an summery air to it so I am making a concerted effort to embrace the season.
One of my favourite things about a new season or month is the chance to reset; it’s the perfect time to try something new, adopt new habits or get rid of things that you don’t need. This week I came across a quote that really resonated with me, “Autumn shows us how beautiful it is to let things go”. It’s easy to get stuck in a rut so when a new season/month arrives I like to make small tweaks to my social calendar, wardrobe and beauty regime. I try and focus on one or two things in each category so that I can make small changes that help to refresh life. Here are a few of my fashion and beauty loves that are currently inspiring me:

While I am drawn to bright patterns in summer I will always go back to a classic stripe print, I have an extensive collection that grows each year. I love that stripes are a more subtle pattern so can be worn with most items especially when they are in a neutral combination such as this navy and white dress. It also has long sleeves and is made from a slightly thicker fabric which makes it perfect for San Franciscan summers as they can vary in temperature. So far this week has been warm and sunny and I’m hoping that it holds until the weekend so I can bring out a few more of my lighter summer pieces.

There’s something about bright blue that conjures up images of summer and specifically a sunny day in Greece so I was immediately attracted to this striped dress. I saved it to wear for my birthday weekend down in San Diego and I brought a white jacket as a cover up but the weather in La Jolla was so warm that I ended up not needing it until the evening.
This shape of dress is one of my favourites this season, I’m 5 ft 3 so I find that an item that hits just below my knee elongates my frame. I have picked up several similar shaped dresses and skirts and this weekend I will be living in varying combinations of red, white and blue so I’m sure this dress will be making a reappearance at some point.
