I have always been an avid face mask user but during quarantine I have found myself reaching for a mask on an almost daily basis. I like to mix up the type of mask that I use but the common themes across them all is that they will be hydrating, smoothing and brightening. Here are the five masks that I am currently using most frequently:
I have all three of the Summer Fridays masks, and while I love them all, lately I have been reaching for this due to its radiance reviving effects. It has exfoliating and brightening properties as well as antioxidant-rich oils that remain on the skin after the mask is removed, leaving skin feeling soft and nourished.
I love the Farmacy cleansing balm so I was excited to try this mask and so far haven’t been disappointed. The antioxidant-rich honey blend is intensely hydrating and transforms into a rich cream when massaged into skin leaving a smooth, plump and glowing complexion.
This mask lives up to the hype; it is my go-to when my skin is looking dull and needing a boost. Its formula contains a natural BHA which provides chemical exfoliation. It’s an enzyme powered mask that has 3 sources of glow-giving radiance, 4 sources to refine pores, and 6 sources to smooth and soften skin texture which all adds up to healthier-looking skin.
I like to mix a calming mask like this or an ultra hydrating one like Summer Friday’s Jet Lag into my mask rotation as I use a lot of acids. I like this rescue mask as I suffer from redness and an uneven skin tone and the white mushroom extract and arnica helps to reduce the appearance of redness. It leaves a soft, smooth and luminous complexion.
I switch between this and the Tata Harper Resurfacing Mask when my skin is looking lacklustre or congested. This is a triple-action manual, chemical and enzymatic exfoliating treatment that helps to even out skin tone, smooth the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and it leaves my skin looking more radiant.
