I can never resist a cute summer treat
Mid week pampering seasons have become a weekly tradition for me this summer
This week seems to have flown by but I have ended the week feeling like it has been productive, I have almost finished assembling some artwork to jazz up areas in the apartment and I can’t wait to put them up this weekend and see everything coming together. It’s little wonder that I feel accomplished as my week and social life has revolved around the Olympics but I have tried to enjoy the sunny weather and spend time with friends, although I admit, I did watch Katie Ledecky’s amazing 800m freestyle swim on my phone while at drinks last night. I can’t wait for an Olympic filled weekend!
As a sports lover I officially have Olympic fever, I anticipate the summer games and never fail to get swept up in the excitement, joy and heartbreak. I love swimming so my week has revolved around watching all of the races unfold and am so happy to see Michael Phelps’ hardwork rewarded with so many gold medals. After the London games I was so pleased to hear that he was coming out of retirement for one last Olympics. It’s bittersweet as I know that swimming won’t be the same without him but the legacy that he is leaving is already shaping the future of the event.
I am so proud of the amazing performance that the GB and Northern Ireland have displayed so far and the fact that we are currently number 3 in the medals table made me squeal with excitement yesterday. Watching Katie Ledecky smash the world record in her amazing 800m freestyle race last night blew me away and the fact that Jazz Carlin won the silver medal in the same race was icing on the cake.
My sister is currently in Norway on holiday with her friends and I love seeing all the photos from her trip and can’t wait to hear all about it when she’s back. The photos have me dreaming of a trip back to Europe soon.
