My Week…

The Duck and Waffle sits on the 40th Floor of the Heron Building and has long been on my list of restaurants to try in London as it is open 24 hours a day, giving you spectacular views of the city day and night. It was definitely worth the wait (and booking as it is a popular destination); the decor was modern with an eclectic mix of materials, the food was delicious and the views were enough to distract anyone from their company even on a slightly cloudy morning.

loves3933As a big football fan I was so excited to be in England for Euro 2016 but as always with England it was a little bit of a shaky start. It was great to be here for the England vs Wales match yesterday and experience the friendly atmosphere as the two countries competed to stay in the cup. I kicked off the day listening to Grimmy and Huw Stephen’s soundclash on radio 1 as the excitement levels built and thanks to an injury-time winning goal I ended the day celebrating as England moved to the top of their group.

longings2IMG_5666I love acting as a tourist in my own city and living abroad gives me even more excuse to do so, I have thoroughly enjoyed the last couple of months re-exploring London and relaxing in Sussex. After a rather grey week I’m hoping that the sun returns before I go back to California. I can’t believe how fast my time here has flown and I’m hoping to drag out the rest of my stay as long as possible…
