Still working my way through the Christmas chocolates

This week I have been working on improving my daily habits as well as starting some new traditions for 2016 and adding a few home decor updates around the apartment. One of my favourite new traditions is a weekend coffee run stopping in at the newly reopened La Boulangerie de San Francisco for fresh bread and picking up some flowers to brighten up the apartment for the upcoming week.
I am also trying to tackle one area of the apartment each week, finishing off DIY jobs, reorganising and adding some new touches to each space. I am looking forward to the big difference each small change should make around the house.

davidbowieThe week began with the sad news of David Bowie’s death and I was moved watching all the tributes celebrating his life particularly those back in London. Bowie’s back catalogue has been the soundtrack to my week and his many famous quotes have made for the perfect downtime reading. It’s incredible to think of the way in which he shaped the music industry and pathed the way for so many other artists. I recently made a playlist of some British musical greats that I grew up listening to including The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Elton John, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, The Smiths, Queen and David Bowie and it no doubt will be on repeat this weekend.

New-England-Patriots12It hasn’t been the best couple of weeks for The Patriots but I am hoping that changes this weekend as they face The Chiefs in a bid to reach the Conference Championship (the Semi-Finals). I am so excited for the last few games before the Super Bowl in February.
